Just a quick reminder that the AGM will be held next week and that the February issue will be published later than usual in order that we can include the outcome of the meeting.
This year more than ever, it’s vital that we get as much input from the membership as possible, as we have reached a turning point in the running of the club and important decisions relating to its future direction must be made.
It’s also your chance to stand for any of the committee positions or put yourself forward to volunteer on the magazine editorial team. We are at risk of going online only if we can’t get enough interest in the magazine, so please do consider helping out if you have the time and something to say. We are also looking for novel ideas on increasing membership numbers and attracting the next generation of enthusiasts, so all ideas are welcome. And as always, a light buffet lunch will be provided by the club and the bar will be open for you to purchase drinks. There will be a quiz and raffle with prizes to be won too – who could ask for more on a chilly February afternoon?
