I fulfilled a childhood dream and bought my first American car in 2020 - right before the first lockdown - and joined the AACNW shortly afterwards. My pride and joy is a 1991 Chevrolet Corvette with a 5.7L L98 putting out about 250bhp. The C4 generation isn't particularly the most loved of the Corvette range, but it's my favourite shape and style and its lower power compared to other generations doesn't bother me at all. For me, owning an American car isn't about the power or the size of the engine - it's about owning something that is rarely seen on UK roads, something that is very different to European and Japanese cars in style and engineering.
I took over management of the AACNW website and digital channels in March 2022, and took on editorship of Rumbles and Roars beginning with the September 2022 edition.
