Wigan do have a rugby team, they play on the ground right at the bottom of my street, don't think they ever win though lol.
Anyway i thought i had already posted on the introductions page but can't find it,so here goes,My names Jimmy and as you have probably guessed i'm from Wigan, i have a '80 Trans Am Turbo S/E that i am just rebuilding,i only bought it last year, its my 19th yank car, mostly Firebirds.I joined the forum in may last year but have been a club member for around 21 years since buying my first '74 Firebird. At the moment i don't have my licence due to having sleep apnoea and have been off work with that for about 6months,ive now got my cpap machine but i'm not doing good with it and can't get my licence back until i do,then i will try to get to a few meetings.

Are you sure it's sleep apnoea or is it that you're watching Wigan 'play rugby' and just fall asleep  lol
Try watching The Saints you'll soon be up and jumping around.  clap
My sister lives in Worsley Mesnes and is a Warriors fan and one of my sons in Goose Green so you know I know what I'm talking about.
Hope you get that license back soon so you can get that Trans Am to the meets.  winkiss

Hello.
I'm John Williams, and I'm a photographer from the Isle of Wight (UK).
I am not yet a member but I intend to be, to follow club events and photograph some of the beautiful cars,
I was invited to join the forums by Richard, and have done so.
My interest in american cars came after I recently took the following photograph at an event...

I'm 16, still in education and hope to go to university to study photography and hopefully a career after that.

I hope to see you all around the forums, it seems a lovely community.

Welcome, John.  I'll be surprised if you meet anyone with an American car, or indeed any old car, who objects to it being photographed, so you should have plenty of subject matter!  I love the attention my car gets, and I'm sure many of us feel the same.  One tip: if you're going to a show, you might find you can't get the shot you want, because of the crowds around the car.  Either arrive really early, or be prepared to stay really late, so you can shoot when there's less in the way  (both showgoing public and other cars).  Good luck!
